New Subway App Facilitates Mobility in Buenos Aires

In the midst of the bus strike affecting hundreds of lines in the Greater Buenos Aires area, the company responsible for the Buenos Aires subway, Emova, has announced the launch of a mobile application that provides real-time information about the subway service. The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate the mobility of users during the conflict.

The application, available for both Android and iOS devices, offers various functionalities. These include the ability to view the status of each subway line in real-time, check the schedules of the first and last train of each line, save favorite addresses, and customize notifications according to schedules and frequent routes, access an interactive map with travel instructions prioritizing subway use and offering optimized routes, as well as consult safety rules, user assistance, and service updates.

This tool was developed in collaboration with the company Ualabee, specialized in urban mobility solutions, and is part of Emova's modernization plan, which has been managing the subway network since December 2021. The mobile application aims to respond to more than 800,000 daily users utilizing the six lines and the Premetro of the metropolitan network.

In a context where the demand for alternative means is growing due to the bus strike called by UTA, Emova's new app presents itself as a useful tool for subway users, allowing them to access updated information and simplifying their travel experience amid the situation of conflict in public transportation.
